LOS ANGELES, Dec. 16, 2016 -- TuYo Radio has taken over as the #1 station on the DASH radio app, hitting over 500k weekly listeners via its app and website since it launched in September, according to DASH. The bilingual radio channel hit a high of 1.4 million impressions in one week (November 14-20, 2016) when it broadcast live from the Latin GRAMMY awards, and its top shows to date include “DamaNation with Dama Venenosa” (11 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT) and the morning show “Manana Sabrosas with Marcella Luevanos” (6 a.m. to 9 a.m. PT). TuYo Radio is part of the TuYo Media group.
A hybrid Internet station driven by Regional Mexican music, Hip Hop and pop culture, the channel features bilingual on-air personalities that weave talk, news and music throughout each show. The channel launched on DASH on September 19 and is programmed by national radio programming executive Veronica Nava.
“Manana Sabrosas” (6 a.m. to 9 a.m. PT) features Luevanos, who was formerly on the nationally syndicated Spanish language radio morning show “El Show de Piolin.” The show debuted December 12 and has featured guests including Voce de Rancho, Sheyla, Sandra Sandoval, Victoria “La Mala” Ortiz, El Conjunto Nueva Ola (ECNO) as well as the world premiere from Fedro.
“DamaNation with Dama Venenosa” (11 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT) is a celebrity gossip/chisme and news show that features one of Latin music’s biggest influencers, Dama Venanosa. Known for her close association with many top Latin artists, Dama shares her insights, loves and favorite artists of the moment on the show. Her online, on-air moments have been featured on Spanish language television series “El Gordo y la Flaca” and “Suelta La Sopa.”
TuYo’s programming mix includes the Papu Show (9 a.m. to 11 a.m. PT), Cumbia Mix with DJ Ray (3 p.m. to 4 p.m. PT), “Cholos Radioactive” featuring Carlos Ayala and Fabian Alomar from the viral video series “Cholos Try” (4 p.m. to 6 p.m. PT) and the “Lowrider Show with Lee Cadena” (8 p.m. to 10 p.m. PT on Sundays).
