Turkish economic confidence index dropped sequentially in the month of December. According to Turkish Statistical Institute, the country’s economic confidence index fell 3 percent sequentially to 95 in December from the prior month’s 97.9. The fall in economic sentiment was driven by the decrease in consumer, real sector, services and construction confidence indices.
The consumer confidence index dropped 0.1 percent to 65.1 from 65.2, while the real sector sentiment index fell 0.5 percent from 109.8 to 109.2.
Meanwhile, services confidence index dropped 3.5 percent from 99.7 to 96.2 points. On the other hand retail trade sentiment index rose 0.7 percent to 100.6 from 99.9. Lastly construction sentiment index fell 1 percent to 81.6.
