Turkish economic confidence index rose in the month of March. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, the economic confidence index rose 3.1 percent in March to 81.9 from February’s 79.4. The rise in economic sentiment index was stemmed from rises in consumer, real sector, services and construction sentiment indices.
Consumer confidence index rose 2.9 percent sequentially in the month to 59.4 from February’s 57.8. The real sector confidence index was up 2.5 percent in March, reaching 99.3 from February’s 96.9.
The services sentiment index rose 2.6 percent month-on-month to 81.6 in March from February’s index of 79.5. The construction confidence index rose 4.4 percent sequentially to 54.1 from February’s print of 51.8.
On the other hand, Retail trade confidence index was the only one to have recorded a drop. The index fell 0.1 percent to 90.7 in March from February’s 90.8.
