The Sibos 2018 to take place International Conventional Centre (ICC) Sydney between 22nd and 25th of this October.
While Dr. Leila Fourie, CEO, Australian Payments Network (APN) and Gordon Sparrow, Head of Financial Institutions, Westpac, have set their hopes for this global event in Sydney.
During the interview with both banking giants, when Leila was asked about the evolving topics, she recognizes the necessity of building on the technology and innovation, and the means for the faster payment system that would have been implemented.
APN has got the most thriving FinTech community, and the mix between traditional classic banking and FinTech, Australian policymakers are predominantly focusing on the open banking system, she further added.
Elsewhere, London, the global financial center and trendsetter, where many of the world’s new financial innovations, regulations and models are first introduced are likely to host Sibos 2019.
The city being home for some of the world’s largest global financial institutions, the city is also at the heart of the global FinTech ecosystem, with a thriving community of startups.
London will provide the perfect location to bring together over 8,000 financial services professionals, hundreds of influential speakers, exhibitors and FinTechs to debate, discuss and explore the new financial landscape. “London is the excellent city for the host in 2019,” says Chantal van Es, Head of Sibos.
