The U.S. Department of War published a seventh batch of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) records Friday, Oct. 23, including a memorandum recounting two federal agents’ report of a matte-black triangular object near a secure U.S. facility and a corroborating account from a third official.

A memorandum from the department’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) recounts the agents’ description. They said the object rose above a ridge, remained still in the air and then crossed horizontally at high speed before banking and descending into a canyon. They reported hearing no sound. The agents estimated its speed from what they saw; the memorandum cites no instrument reading or measured figure.

The department released the files under its Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE). The memorandum does not identify the object’s nature or origin. The department said it and partner agencies were preparing another release but gave no date.
