The Military Engineering Showcase 2026 brought 66 UK defense companies and delegations from more than 20 nations together to discuss military engineering needs and support international cooperation and exports.
National Armaments International hosted the Military Engineering Showcase 2026 on Oct. 5-6. The NAD Group coordinated participation by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and prime contractors, the ministry said. The event gave the Ministry of Defence, overseas partners and industry a forum to share expertise, review common requirements and consider new technologies in military engineering.
Companies presented capabilities in combat engineering, demining, force protection and infrastructure. The ministry also identified counter-explosive ordnance, survivability and infrastructure designed for deployment among the areas covered. The program combined technical displays with specialist presentations, industry briefings and time for networking with international delegations.
Delegates could consult the Export Support Team, part of NA-International. The team is made up of British Army officers and soldiers who advise UK defense and security companies on military requirements, including emerging needs.
The ministry situated the event against global instability and changing security challenges. It said military engineering supports operational effectiveness and force protection, as well as post-conflict recovery and humanitarian assistance. SMEs make up much of the UK defense industrial base and develop and manufacture specialist capabilities, the ministry said, adding that export opportunities help sustain expertise and resilience across the industry.
Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Teeton MBE RE, a military adviser on counter-explosive ordnance and CBRN at National Armaments International, said collaboration and export opportunities can help maintain the skills, expertise and innovation needed for current and future military engineering requirements.
