UK consumer confidence index for July expected to release on 31st July.
The surprise election victory for the Conservative party suggests that UK voters were happier about the state of the economy than pollsters had understood. The labor data showed what may prove to be a temporary dip in employment growth but earnings continued to accelerate. Therefore, the country's consumer confidence index will have risen further from 7 to 9 in July, said Societe Generale in a report on Monday.
