FXStreet reported Nov. 2 that Quek Ser Leang and Lee Sue Ann of United Overseas Bank expected the U.S. dollar-Singapore dollar pair to stay in a narrow range as downside momentum stopped building.
FXStreet’s account of the UOB note puts USD/SGD between 1.2775 and 1.2800 over the next 24 hours. For a one-to-three-week horizon, the reported range is 1.2775 to 1.2835. The lower boundary is the same in both outlooks, while the longer-range view allows for a higher upper level.
A close below 1.2775 would put 1.2755 in view as possible next support, FXStreet reported. The report said the strategists found no new acceleration in USD/SGD’s downward move.
UOB’s Oct. 29 chart note separately identified 1.2855 above and 1.2755 below as levels where a sustained break would be needed for a clearer directional move. Those levels sit outside the one-to-three-week range reported on Nov. 2: 1.2855 is above its 1.2835 ceiling, and 1.2755 is below its 1.2775 floor.
The latest reported outlook follows an earlier EconoTimes article on UOB’s USD/SGD range view, which highlighted 1.2805 as a momentum threshold. The Nov. 2 account gives the current ranges and downside level, while UOB’s Oct. 29 chart note provides the wider levels for a sustained break.
