David Schweikert, Arizona Congressman and a member of the House Financial Services Committee, will be speaking at the first D.C. Blockchain Summit in March, CoinDesk reported. The Chamber of Digital Commerce, in collaboration with Georgetown University, will be holding the event which will be attended by several prominent figures in the cryptocurrency space, executives from leading tech giants, finance experts and many others.
According to official website, Schweikert is a strong advocate for efficiencies in the 21st Century economy and collaborates with entrepreneurs and innovators to explore ways to increase trade and drive economic growth.
The summit aims at providing the DC community, government, technologists, finance experts, nonprofits, and students a chance to explore opportunities and challenges surrounding blockchain technology in the nation's capital.
The Chamber of Digital Commerce is the first Washington, DC-based trade association representing the digital asset industry. It aims to promote the acceptance and use of digital assets and related technologies through education, advocacy, and working closely with policymakers, regulatory agencies and industry.
