US Presidential election has moved to the final stage of the process; all the Presidential debates are over and it is now 18 days to the election on November 8th. By many measures, this year’s election has been one of the most watched events globally and one of the ugliest in the history of the United States. Both the Democratic and Republican candidates have hit each other with whatever they can get their hands into. Lots of sensitive information has come out pointing to the corruption in the system. This year’s two candidates are going to occupy the White House being as one of the most unpopular President in the history. Republican Candidate Donald Trump is widely considered as this year’s ‘change’ candidate, while Hillary Clinton is being considered as establishment candidate running to maintain the ‘Status Quo’. And that makes the Green Party candidate Jill Stein worry.
While the Green Party candidate Jill Stein or the Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson are not expected to come closer in taking the White House, they are expected to get more votes compared to all previous candidates from their respective parties.
After the third Presidential debate, Ms. Stein said that both the candidates are deadly choices but she prefers Trump over Hillary as voting for Hillary would essentially mean voting for the war. Donald Trump has repeatedly said that he would prefer to improve relations with Russia, while Clinton has increased her verbal attack against Russia. Under Obama administration, the relations between Russia and the United States have hit the lowest point since the cold war and further deterioration could push us towards direct conflict.
