Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump’s support is fading according to latest polls released. Two new opinion polls the candidate has fallen behind presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and much of that can be attributed to Trump’s controversial comments accusing a Hispanic-American judge of bias against him because of his Mexican origin.
A poll by Washington Post-ABC news suggests his approval ratings have dropped to lowest since the campaign began. A separate poll conducted by Bloomberg Politics show 55 percent disapprove Trump’s comments on Judge Curiel and equal number says they will never vote for Trump. Clinton has now 12 percentage points lead over Trump nationally.
Recent commentaries after Orlando attack from Donald Trump has also been disapproved by many Americans, where Trump renewed his calls for a temporary ban on Muslims from entering the country. In contrast, more Americans support the idea of gun control pushed by Hillary and Obama. CBS poll suggests only 31 percent supports Trump’s idea compared to 57 percent Hillary’s.
But it is not just Trump’s comments that are taking a toll on the poll numbers. At one hand, he is being attacked by the Democrats and also by many Republicans on the other. He is also facing a bad campaigning by the media.
If his approval ratings continue to tumble, the real question is Will the Republican look for an alternate in the convention to present their party in the final election.
