It will become difficult over time to convince the citizens of the United States and Europe that they need to spend billions of dollars more to prevent an aggressive Russia, while ISIS rampages free. The world is facing a horror show like never before.
Governments need not go to war anymore, war has been brought to them by terrorist organizations like ISIS. No country is immune to the infection of ISIS, which has shown an incredible ability to recruit from around the globe and inspire lone wolf attacks. Gone are the days, when Osama used to plot from the caves of Afghanistan to attack the twin towers in New York. Terrorist organizations need not send its jihadists from the Middle East to the west, all they need to do is to sit on the net, radicalize second or third generations of immigrants or anyone, who will be a jihadist at home.
Recent attacks in Orlando, Paris, and Brussels, all are evidence of this. Tension among world leaders, the Europe, and the United States in one hand and Russia at the other is preventing a war from ending, over a small region in the Middle East, Syria. Millions are flocking from the Middle East to Europe, not because they want to, but forced to and bringing with them possibility of future radicals. It is almost impossible to separate the radicals from refugees in today’s world.
Europe is trying to integrate Turkey with the European Union, while giving a hard time to Britain in securing a deal to prevent Brexit. The EU is trying to provide visa-free travel to Turkey, a country which is largely disliked by its citizens. European leaders need to recognize they have brought about the right wing Euro-skeptics by not listening to its citizen and threatening the very fabric of European integrity.
According to the latest survey by Pew Research Center, 80 percent in U.S. and 76 percent in Europe considers ISIS as a major threat compared to 42 percent and 34 percent considering Russia.
Hence our plea –
Dear Governments of EU,
Listen to Europeans or you will not be having a Union in future.
