U.S. presidential Election Series: Paul Ryan ready to vote for Trump

In a tweet yesterday, United States’ most powerful Republican, House speaker Paul Ryan, finally endorsed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump by saying he would vote for Mr. Trump this fall.

This marks the end to months of standoff between him and Mr. Trump, where many a times Mr. Ryan said, he is not ready to endorse Trump. Senate leader Mitch McConnell has already sided by Trump saying that he won fair and square, traditional way so Republicans need to respect people’s wish. However, he also said, Trump won’t change how Republican Party functions.

This is a big victory for Donald Trump, for whom bringing the party together and find support in their midst is vital to win November election.

Still many Republicans are holding off, over Mr. Trump’s attack on party establishments throughout his nomination process. Now, Mr. Ryan’s support should help Trump gain back some of those supports.

Mr. Ryan said,

“I’ll be voting for @realDonaldTrump this fall. I’m confident he will help turn the House GOP’s agenda into laws.”
