U.S. under Trump Series: ‘Russia gate’ reversal boost Trump’s 2020 reelection bid

President Trump’s re-election odds improved significantly as the ‘Russia-gate’ scandal has taken an opposite turn. President’s approval rating rose as it came out just like he said there were no collusion or obstruction of justice by the Trump campaign or by the President at the end of Robert Mueller’s investigations.

But, what is about to come, could alone push him to victory. Despite Democrats’ opposition and American media’s attempt to cover the story for 2-years, it is finally coming out that the Attorney General William Barr would now look into the genesis of the ‘Trump-Russia collusion’ investigations, especially since investigations by several house and senate committees have uncovered documents and detailed reports, which strongly suggest that the executive branch of the government was actually colluding with Hillary Clinton campaign during the 2016 election; with biased or influenced decision making while investigating Hillary Clinton,  attempts by Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents to infiltrate Donald Trump’s campaign, by wiretapping some of his aides and trying to pull campaign aides to set-ups.

Independent Investigations conducted by Congress and independent bodies, such as judicial watch have revealed over the last two years that United States’ intelligence agencies under Obama administration were actively working to derail the Trump campaign and their efforts didn’t stop even after the election. Several attempts were made to set up the President using the narrative of Russia collusion to impeach him in a cue.

Speaking to Congress earlier this week, Attorney General William Barr, who has previously served as the Attorney General under senior Bush’s administration cleared that he is not going to look the other way when treasonous crimes may have been committed. So, when asked by Democratic lawmakers, why he feels the need to do this, A.G. Barr added,

  • He has cleared during his confirmation hearing that he would be looking at both the genesis of the Russia investigation and the outcome of it, and he intends to do that because ‘ spying on a political campaign is a big deal’ and confirmed that there were spying on the Trump campaign by intelligence officials. So, he wants to see how much of that was legal.

Things would start heating up when the Inspector General’s report comes out by the end of summer. As the 2020 election campaign gathers pace, the investigation would deal major blows to the Democratic Party candidates as more and more damaging details come out on the level of corruption within the executive branch under President Barrack Obama’s watch.
