SEATTLE, May 04, 2017 -- University Village today announced the line-up for the 2017 Sounds of Summer Concert Series, presented by UW Medicine.
The Sounds of Summer Concert Series at University Village is a series of free concerts on Wednesdays beginning July 12 and running through August 23, from 7-8:30 p.m. Every summer, Seattleites head to the Village to shop, eat and enjoy long-awaited sunny evenings with live music from a mix of local favorites and well-known artists playing classic hits and new selections.
Making his Sounds of Summer Concert Series debut on July 19, Blake Lewis is a local star who rose to fame as the “American Idol” runner-up in Season Six with his unique and energizing hip hop, beatboxing, and a capella vocal talents.
Also new to the line-up this year is Kalimba, playing the music of Earth, Wind & Fire, on August 9.
The 2017 Sounds of Summer Concert Series line-up features:
July 12 – Eldridge Gravy & The Court Supreme
July 19 – Blake Lewis
July 26 – The Nowhere Men
August 2 – The Paperboys
August 9 – Kalimba
August 16 – BowieVision
August 23 – Hit Explosion
In addition to their favorite bands, concert-goers look forward to gourmet bites from University Village restaurants, the lively Ram Restaurant beer garden and fun activities in the kid’s play area.
