ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., March 1, 2016 -- TriCore Reference Laboratories' Chief Information Officer, Bill Baker, will address the audience at the upcoming Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting on Tuesday, March 01, 2016.
Mr. Baker will explain how TriCore is driving improvements in the healthcare industry by changing the laboratory paradigm from Volume to Value. TriCore is reshaping the way medicine is delivered through laboratory-driven population health management. Selecting the right test at the right time and converting the resulting data to actionable information, TriCore is helping to reduce the total cost of care and improve patient outcomes.
TriCore generates more than 70% of New Mexico's clinical test data. Combining years of longitudinal and chronological data with analytics powered by Rhodes technology, TriCore connects data from different providers and identifies geographic patterns.
"Taking all this valuable information and creating a suite where population health can connect payers and providers with health assessments, patient interventions and disease management will ultimately help eliminate care gaps and identify high risk patients. This will have a measurable impact in improving the quality of care to patients and help provide value in lab services. Rhodes technology provides us with the tools for the critical integration and informatics assemblies we need to operate in the clinical, operation, revenue and business intelligence aspects of our daily work," says TriCore Reference Laboratories CIO Bill Baker.
"The technology and integration is helping to create a unique model to bring real time information to the forefront," says Khosrow Shotorbani, CEO of TriCore Reference Laboratories. "Together we will provide access to data-driven insights that optimize diagnostic pathways and improve overall healthcare outcomes."
