Part 2 of “Vikings” season 5 is coming and the wait will soon be over for fans who have been waiting for some time now. It is on its way and here are some details to take note before it finally premieres.
The second half of “Vikings” season 5 promises intense showdowns that may involve some leading characters, including Ivar (Alex Høgh Andersen) and Lagertha Lothbrok (Katheryn Winnick). In the battle, someone is expected to die and it is speculated that it will be Lagertha.
Express reported that Ivar the Boneless will capture Lagertha following his victory. His stepmother will be able to escape from Kattegat and will vow to get back her throne. She will fight until the end and this may be how her life will end in “Vikings” season 5.
There were also teaser photos that show an aged Lagertha and perhaps, it is also possible that she could die from old age instead of the war. However, one thing is sure, her time in the series is up.
Deadline reported that the actress playing the character, Katheryn Winnick, is leaving the show since she was recently cast for “Wu Assassins,” a crime drama. As per the report, she will be playing an undercover agent named Christine “C.G.” Gavin. The new show is expected to premiere in 2019 on Netflix.
Meanwhile, there is a prediction that Ivar may also die in “Vikings” season 5 and his possible killer is not Lagertha but Hvitserk. Avid viewers have to wait a bit more to know if the throne will be recovered from Ivar and by whom.
According to Gamespot, this theory emerged at the SDCC 2018 when Andersen joked, “Let’s make a guy who can’t control himself control an entire city,” implying that Ivar is doomed to fail.” Part 2 of “Vikings” season 5 will premiere on Nov. 28.
