Volkswagen launched its 2.0-liter TSI gasoline engine-powered SUV Tiguan Allspace in South Korea, where the German carmaker is largely associated with diesel engine-powered vehicles.
More South Korean drivers prefer gasoline engine-powered cars or electric cars that have less noise and vibration compared to diesel engines.
Sacha Askidjian, the managing director of Volkswagen Korea, noted that the Tiguan Allspace is designed to satisfy all kinds of lifestyles of Korean consumers and is more spacious with seven seats.
The SUV, according to the company, was designed with driver convenience in mind by utilizing cutting-edge digital technology. A 10.25-inch digital dash in the vehicle's cockpit displays driving information and fuel status, and consumers can easily control the vehicle's systems via a 9.2-inch infotainment screen.
According to the company, all of the convenient features are tailored to Korean consumers.
The managing director also stated that Volkswagen will launch its EV ID.4 in September to meet the growing demand for EVs in Korea.
