Wendy's has come up with a new sandwich and it was said to be the latest addition to the restaurant’s "Made to Crave" line-up. This is the third one on the list for this year and it is called the Bacon Cheddar Burger.
The new Wendy’s burger was actually the one that was rumored last month. At that time, a leaked memo was said to have been posted online and it contains information about the launch of a new sandwich.
The memo was posted on Aug. 1 and it quickly made rounds. It contained a video of a crew and the post was simply captioned “upcoming sandwich."
Those who saw the post said that the video and pictures are Wendy’s soon-to-be-released burgers and even mentioned their name to be - the Big Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger and Chicken Sandwich. Now, a month later, it turned out that the information in the leaked memo is true.
QSR reported that Wendy’s has launched Big Bacon Cheddar Burger and it features the same ingredients that were also mentioned in the memo. It has beef patties and Applewood smoked bacon then drizzled with the restaurant’s own bacon sauce. The sandwich is completed with crispy onions, creamy cheddar cheese spread, American cheese and enclosed in a cheddar bun.
"As the home of the number one bacon cheeseburger, we had a desire to dial-up what we do best and create a flavorful, pub-fare style sandwich featuring more bacon, more cheddar, and more innovation," The Wendy's Company’s president of culinary innovation, John Li, said in a press release. "The result is an unexpected, melt-in-your-mouth sandwich with huge craft flavors that deliver on our promise of always being craveable and affordable."
In any case, customers who would like to have the new Wendy’s Big Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger could get them via drive-thrus or contactless pickup through mobile ordering method. As per Nasdaq, people can also order via Wendy's app, Uber Eats, DoorDash, GrubHub, and Postmates for delivery.
Finally, other than the Big Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger, customers can also choose to buy the other burgers in Wendy's "Made to Crave" menu that includes the Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger, Jalapeño Popper Chicken, Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheeseburger, Pretzel Bacon Pub Chicken Sandwich and the Big Bacon Classic Cheeseburger.
