‘Westworld’ season 1’s episode 6, entitled “The Adversary”, will find Anthony Hopkins’ Dr. Robert Ford faced with a new threat. Meanwhile, Ed Harris’ Man in Black will uncover an important clue in his maze mission.
The synopsis for episode 6 posted on Den of Geek stated, "Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) joins William (Jimmi Simpson) and Logan (Ben Barnes) on a bounty hunt; The Man in Black (Ed Harris) finds a critical clue in his search to unlock the maze; Dr. Ford (Anthony Hopkins) and Theresa discuss the park's future; Maeve (Thandie Newton) is troubled by a recurring vision."
The promo opened with Teddy (James Marsden) saying, “The maze itself is the sum of a man’s life… the choices he makes, the dreams he hangs on to. It’s an old native myth.” The Man in Black concludes, “The maze is all that matters now.”
The Man in Black was seen on a quest for the mysterious maze, which up to this point continues to be an enigma to viewers and fans of the series. According to Inverse, the center of the maze may be a way out of the park and may hold a connection to the inhabitants of Westworld.
In episode 4, entitled “Dissonance Theory”, Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) tells Dolores, “There’s something I’d like you to try. It’s a game. A secret. It’s called the Maze.” He then explains, “The goal is to find the center of it. If you can do that, then maybe you can be free.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Ford may have to face a new threat. The promo showed Bernard warning the Westworld creative director, “I’m beginning to think you have reason for concern.” Dr. Ford then threatens a yet identified character, “Did you really think I would let you take it from me?” Perhaps the hosts have finally realized that they were characters in an artificial life and are preparing to stage a rebellion.

The series stars Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Ed Harris, Anthony Hopkins, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Ben Barnes, Clifton Collins Jr., Luke Hemsworth, Rodrigo Santoro, and Ingrid Bolso Berdal.
