A dashboard’s address count cannot be read as a tally of XRP Ledger users.
The dashboard did not give an observation time. Nov. 3 identifies when the display was checked, not a confirmed endpoint for the 24-hour window.
The daily figure counts distinct addresses that sent or received transactions. A higher address count reflects more distinct addresses active in the period; it does not establish a corresponding change in the number of people using the network.
One person may control multiple addresses, while an exchange may process activity for many customers through shared accounts. The metric also cannot identify how many active addresses belonged to returning users because it does not show when each address last transacted. Earlier EconoTimes coverage of XRP Ledger activity metrics explained that limitation. Changes in address-level activity cannot show whether any one person’s use of the network changed.
