The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC), led by director-general Abdulaziz Yari, planned to make its case for another term for President Bola Tinubu by pointing to his administration’s record, BusinessDay reported.

Yari said over the weekend that the council planned to take its appeal to voters across Nigeria. The comments came after Tinubu discussed his re-election bid in a Friday media chat in Saudi Arabia.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) lists Jan. 16, 2027, for presidential and National Assembly elections.

Yari previously cited northern support at Tinubu’s Oct. 24 campaign launch in Kaduna.
