Yemen’s military says it carried out 1,087 strikes under the Dawn of Yemen operation in recent hours, Anadolu Agency reported Oct. 30, adding to the government’s campaign against Houthi positions.
Anadolu Agency said military spokesman Col. Majed Abdullah al-Nuzaili posted the tally on X. Al-Nuzaili put the number of Houthi fighters and commanders neutralized at about 336. He reported that 112 items in all were damaged or destroyed, including heavy weapons, supply assets, equipment and military vehicles.
Al-Nuzaili said the targets included command-and-control centers, supply routes, troop concentrations, firing positions and fortifications. He said the military used drones, rocket launchers, warplanes and field artillery.
In Taiz, government troops and Popular Resistance allies raided Houthi positions and mounted counterattacks, while warplanes struck troop concentrations and military positions, Al-Nuzaili said. He said forces conducted reconnaissance in Al-Jawf, Marib, Al-Bayda and across southern and southwestern fronts before targeted strikes. Those strikes aimed to prevent infiltration attempts and disrupt Houthi reinforcements, he said.
Al-Nuzaili said the military would continue operations and take steps intended to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure. EconoTimes previously covered a military claim of 749 operations in 24 hours under the same operation.
