Yemen’s army left the human toll of its latest Houthi campaign undefined, reporting 307 fighters and commanders “neutralized” in 736 operations over 24 hours.

The army said “Dawn of Yemen” covered command hubs, troop concentrations, incoming reinforcements, arms depots and supply routes. Anadolu Agency reported that the army counted 68 vehicles and weapons among items hit or wrecked.

Anadolu has previously said the military’s term can describe fighters who died or were injured; EconoTimes addressed the usage in an earlier report on the term. The army gave no count separating the two outcomes in this tally.

In Taiz province, the army identified an abandoned hotel as a target, saying it contained arms depots, heavy-weapons positions and a command center. It alleged Houthi forces used the building to monitor residential districts, fire on them and help sustain the city’s siege. The army added that government forces conducted raids there to stop incoming fire.

Anadolu Agency said government troops remained in control of Taiz’s center and reported Houthi advances in parts of the countryside and along the coast. It also reported no immediate comment from the group.

The conflict began in 2014, when Houthi forces took Sanaa and other provinces. A Saudi-led coalition entered the war the following year to support Yemen’s internationally recognized government. EconoTimes covered a separate army claim that 512 Houthi fighters were neutralized in 780 strikes in its earlier report on that tally.
