The YieldMax MRNA Option Income Strategy ETF (MRNY) will distribute $0.5394 per share on Oct. 30, a 39.1% drop from the $0.8851 payout YieldMax announced Oct. 21.
YieldMax announced the earlier $0.8851 distribution on Oct. 21. The fund’s next payment is scheduled for Oct. 30, with Oct. 29 set as both the ex-dividend date and the record date.
At the Oct. 27 close, MRNY’s distribution rate was 70.99%. The rate converts the latest payout into an annual figure based on MRNY’s latest net asset value (NAV), assuming the amount continues; it does not show total return. The ETF’s 30-day SEC yield was 0.68% for the period ended Sept. 30 and excludes option income.
YieldMax says MRNY sells call spreads tied to Moderna Inc. shares as part of its weekly-income strategy.
YieldMax says future distributions are not guaranteed and their amounts may change. Payouts may combine dividends, gains and returned principal; returning principal can weigh on NAV and the share price over time.
