Zcash (ZEC) long positions accounted for $1.61 million in liquidations across three exchanges during a one-hour period Monday, as its Binance spot quote fell about 3.6% over four hours.

On Oct. 19, Binance’s ZEC/Tether (USDT) spot quote stood at $1,123 when checked at 10:11 a.m. ET (14:11 UTC). The displayed price was $1,165 four hours earlier, a $42 difference that works out to a decline of about 3.6%.

Short liquidations totaled $60,000 during the one-hour measure across Binance, Bybit and OKX. The long total was more than 26 times as large. Long positions benefit when the price rises, so traders holding them bore most of the reported liquidations.

ZEC’s separate 24-hour reading showed a 1.57% gain at the observation time. That measure and the four-hour decline compare the same endpoint with prices at different starting times.

An earlier EconoTimes report on Zcash liquidations recorded $1.31 million in long liquidations and $10,000 in short liquidations during a different hour Saturday.
