Zcash (ZEC) saw $160,000 in long liquidations across three exchanges as its Binance price fell 2.01% in an hour on Oct. 19, while short liquidations were lower.

Binance's ZEC/USDT spot market quoted the asset at $1,145 at 7:16 p.m. ET (23:16 UTC), down 2.01% from an hour earlier.

Across Binance, Bybit and OKX, liquidations of long positions reached $160,000 during that hour; the short-side total was $90,000. The gap was $70,000. A long position is held in expectation of a price increase, and more dollars in those positions were liquidated during the reported period.

At the same reading, ZEC was 2.44% above its level 24 hours earlier. The daily figure spans a longer period than the hourly move.

A separate Oct. 17 EconoTimes snapshot of Zcash liquidations put long liquidations at $1.31 million and short liquidations at $10,000 over a different hour.
