EMERYVILLE, Calif., Oct. 02, 2017 -- Zogenix, Inc. (Nasdaq:ZGNX), a pharmaceutical company developing therapies for the treatment of orphan and central nervous system (CNS) disorders, announced today that it has priced an underwritten public offering of 6,700,000 shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $37.50 per share. The gross proceeds to Zogenix from the offering, before underwriting discounts and commissions and offering costs, are expected to be $251,250,000. Zogenix has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,005,000 shares of common stock. All of the shares to be sold in the offering are being sold by Zogenix. The offering is expected to close on or about October 5, 2017, subject to satisfaction of customary closing conditions. Zogenix intends to use the net proceeds from the proposed offering to fund clinical research and development of ZX008, including the completion of Zogenix’s ongoing clinical trials and regulatory submissions for Dravet syndrome and to fund Phase 3 clinical development for Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, commercial infrastructure for ZX008 for Dravet syndrome in the U.S. and working capital and general corporate purposes.
