The six-week challenge started on 12 September and was classified into three phases. The first week saw ideation and validation of prototypes and solutions to be built; from week 2-5 the startups built, tested and iterated solutions and prototypes with ongoing mentor feedback and during the final week, the startups finalized prototypes and solutions for showcase and piloting.
Other participating startups include Adjoint, BlockVerify, BTL Group Ltd, JAAK, and Tallysticks. This year, the challenged focused on the application of blockchain solutions for two industry areas – digital rights management for media and entertainment sectors; and energy trading for the power and energy sectors.
On 19 October, the Bitfury Group presented its innovative solution to digital rights management at the final day of the challenge, held at Canary Wharf in London. Bitfury’s team worked with Ernst & Young, client mentors and other companies to create a Blockchain solution for digital rights management and energy trading.
