FxWirePro: GBP/USD rises as soft US data pressures dollar

• GBP/USD   initially weakened  after the BoE's decision but later rebounded, supported by broad-based dollar weakness.

• Dollar weakened broadly after  data showed U.S. economic growth slowed in the second quarter, while the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation measure, the PCE Price Index, matched market expectations, offering fresh insight into the outlook for U.S. monetary policy.

• The Bank of England left interest rates unchanged on Thursday as expected, though a third policymaker voted for a rate hike amid renewed tensions between the United States and Iran..

• The Monetary Policy Committee voted 6-3 to keep interest rates unchanged at 3.75%, compared with economists' expectations for a 7-2 vote split in favor of holding rates.

•   Immediate resistance is located at 1.3511(38.2%fib), any close above will push the pair towards 1.3546(Higher BB)

•  Strong support is seen at 1.3407(50%fib) and break below could take the pair towards 1.3389(SMA 20).

Recommendation: Good to buy  around 1.3430, with stop loss of 1.3360 and target price of 1.3500
