Paul R. Martin received his PhD in Physiology at Sydney in 1986. Following postdoctoral work in Germany and a Faculty Position at the University of Sydney, he took up appointment as Director of Research at the National Vision Research Institute of Australia in 2003. He returned to Sydney in 2010 to take up his current appointment as Professor of Experimental Ophthalmology.
Paul's main research interest is the biological basis of visual perception and colour vision: topics on which he has published over 50 scientific journal articles and reviews. He remains actively involved in research.
