Astrid Helene Kendrick completed her Doctor of Education from the University of Calgary in July, 2018. She is currently the Director of Field Experience (Community-Based Pathway) at the University of Calgary, and is leading two research projects. Her first research project is investigating the scope and experience of Alberta educational workers with emotional labour, compassion fatigue, and burnout, and the other research project is focused on using podcasts to engage with rural, remote, and Indigenous distance learning students. Previously, she was a classroom teacher for nineteen years within Alberta and Saskatchewan, Canada.
