SARAO Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of Cape Town
I am a radio astronomer specializing in the field of galaxy evolution. I have an undergraduate degree in Physics and a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Western Australia. I worked for 4 years as a European Research Council (ERC) Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Zagreb in Croatia. I then moved to the University of Cape Town Astronomy Department where I have worked for the past 2.5 years as a South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO) Postdoctoral Research Fellow. My research makes use of data from South Africa's MeerKAT telescope. I am a primary or co-author on 32 peer-reviewed publications. I have significant science communication experience and am the co- creator, producer and host of The Cosmic Savannah podcast bringing African astronomy research to the general public.
