Shae McCrystal

Shae McCrystal

Professor of Labour Law, University of Sydney
Professor Shae McCrystal is in the School of Law at the University of Sydney where she teaches labour law and property law. Shae joined the University of Sydney in 2007 after a number of years in the College of Law at the Australian National University.

Her research focuses primarily on the regulation of collective bargaining and strike action for both employees and independent contractors and she has published extensively in these areas. Her latest book, published through Oxford University Press, is Strike Ballots, Democracy and Law (with Breen Creighton, Catrina Denvir, Richard Johnstone and Alice Orchiston).

Shae is currently the Deputy Head of School and Dean of Sydney Law School, and co-editor of the Australian Journal of Labour Law.
