Professor and Manager of the Advanced Materials Testing Centre (AMTeC), University of South Wales My research interests include sustainable development of infrastructure, especially by the utilisation of natural, industrial and agricultural waste streams in both soil and cement-based cementitious systems. My research work aims to reduce the use of traditional cementitious binders such as lime and Portland cement, whose manufacture contributes enormously to atmospheric emissions.
