I work on various aspects of the global carbon, nutrient and hydrological cycles. My research is focused on greenhouse gas emissions from aquatic and terrestrial systems along with the hydrological coupling of terrestrial and aquatic carbon and nutrient cycles. I incorporate stable- and natural radio-isotopes into my work to characterize carbon and nutrient cycling pathways and sources, greenhouse gas emissions, and groundwater-surface water interactions.
