cuddle+kind usually donates ten meals for every doll sold and five meals for every print sold. In recognition of this annual event, from Friday, October 13 through Monday, October 16, 2017, cuddle+kind will double the meals donated to children in need through their giving partners, donating 20 meals for every doll sold, and ten meals for every print sold.
World Food Day, founded by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), will be celebrated by more than 150 countries around the world on Monday, October 16, 2017. The annual event helps create awareness and action for the 800 million people worldwide who suffer from hunger. “As a family, we created cuddle+kind to help alleviate child hunger because we believe that every child should have enough food to eat and the opportunity to thrive,” said Derek Woodgate, co-founder of cuddle+kind. “It is an honor to join hundreds of organizations worldwide in the continuous battle to end world hunger. We are proud to be contributing to such an impactful movement by continuing to support our Giving Partners and the FAO in its mission to end hunger by 2030.”
Founded in 2015, cuddle+kind works with World Food Program USA, Children’s Hunger Fund, Breakfast Club of Canada and WE Charity to provide meals to children in need worldwide. To date, they have provided 1,527,878 meals to children in more than 60 countries around the world.

About cuddle+kind
Started by Jennifer and Derek Woodgate in 2015, cuddle+kind was an idea that came to life after the Woodgate family learned how many children suffer daily from hunger around the world. cuddle+kind’s “1 doll = 10 meals” philosophy lets them work with their customers to grow truly sustainable giving efforts rather than depending on fundraising for support. It is cuddle+kind’s mission to give 1 million meals to children in need annually. To learn more about cuddle+kind, visit www.cuddleandkind.com.
