‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13’s episode 6, entitled “Roar”, is set to feature Bailey struggling to make a decision over Alex’s fate in Grey Sloan. Meanwhile, a familiar character is set to make her grand comeback.
The synopsis for episode 6 posted on Carter Matt stated, “A familiar face returns to Grey Sloan, throwing many of the doctors for a loop. With Catherine putting on the pressure, Bailey has to make a decision about Alex while a tough ER case makes Amelia’s bad day even worse.” It seems that Bailey (Chandra Wilson) will be put on the spot as Catherine (Debbie Allen) pays a visit to Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital to urge her to fire Alex (Justin Chambers).
In the promo, Catherine threatens Bailey saying, "If you don't take some steps to replace Dr. Karev, I will." Alex, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to care after Bailey warns him that he is “on this ice.”
During the season 12 finale, Alex violently attacked Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) after seeing him with Jo (Camilla Luddington). He automatically assumed that the two were together. DeLuca ended up in a hospital while Alex gets in trouble with the police.
The incoming episode may feature Alex struggling with his fate as his and Bailey’s relationship is finally put to the test. Should Alex fail to prove himself, Bailey may be prompted fire him, thus ruining his career in the medical field. As co-owner of the hospital, it seems that Catherine does have some power over Bailey.
Meanwhile, it would be interesting to see who would be returning to Grey Sloan as teased in the episode synopsis. It was previously speculated that Christina Yang (Sandra Oh) or Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) would be making an appearance following their exit from the series. However, according to the Inquisitr, the figure from the past has been revealed to be Tessa Ferrer’s Dr. Leah Murphy.
Leah was Arizona Robbin’s (Jessica Capshaw) love interest before she was fired after being deemed unfit to be a surgeon. The character was last seen getting the boot from Dr. Webber (James Pickens Jr.).
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13’s episode 6, entitled “Roar”, is scheduled to premiere on ABC on October 27, 2016. It was directed by Nicole Rubio and written by Elizabeth J.B. Klaviter.
