‘iZombie’ season 3’s episode 7, titled “Dirt Nap Time,” will follow Liv as she takes action against Blaine after she suspects him of stealing the remaining syringes of Ravi’s zombie cure.
The lengthy synopsis for “Dirt Nap Time” posted on TV Guide reads, “Liv (Rose McIver) and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) try to solve the murder of a very charming, but womanizing, preschool teacher and bring his jealous girlfriend Piper (guest star Shenae Grimes) in for questioning.
Meanwhile, Peyton (Alyson Michalka) is assigned a very interesting case; and Blaine (David Anders) finds himself in a bad situation.”
The upcoming episode is set to follow Liv as she decides to finally take action against Blaine when she suspects him of stealing Ravi’s (Rahul Kohli) zombie cure doses. The promo opens to Liv telling Clive that the zombie cures may have been stolen.
In the next scene, she tells Ravi, “It’s Blaine. That rat has stolen the rest of the doses… This is Blaine’s fault. And if I find him, I will beat a confession out of him.” Despite Ravi’s attempts to restrain Liv, she still goes out of her way to punch Blaine right in the face.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Rob Thomas revealed that Liv and Ravi will confront Blaine and Don E, Ravi’s main suspect. Thomas said, “Ravi and Liv are going to try to track down those missing syringes. Donny and Blaine are the obvious suspects that they will investigate in this next episode, but they don’t come up with satisfactory answers, and our plan was to let that mystery remain unresolved for the back half of the season but then to find the answer in the season finale.”
He added, “We ended up running out of time in the season finale, and that reveal got cut. So, what will happen is they’ll find out, I think, pretty early in season 4.”
‘iZombie’ season 3’s episode 7, titled “Dirt Nap Time,” is scheduled to air on May 16, 2017 on The CW. It was directed by Michael Fields and written by Deirdre Mangan. It will be followed by episode 4, titled "Eat a Knievel," scheduled to be released on May 23, 2017.
