'American Gods' Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers: Premiere Date Announced, Production Delay Due To Betrayals, Departures, and Division?

The premiere date of “American Gods” Season 2 was recently announced and fans of the show finally know when to expect their favorite series to come back. The set date is March 10, but despite the confirmation of the premiere, there are still a lot of questions with regards to the show. Much of the controversy regarding “American Gods” Season 2 has to do with the drama that went on backstage.

The announcement for the premiere date of “American Gods” Season 2 was posted on social media and it would appear that STARZ is quite excited about it. This should be good news to fans who have been wondering if they will actually see their favorite characters come back any time soon. It would appear that this will be the case, but not without any issues.

Ideally, production of shows should proceed smoothly and without too much interference from the network so that the showrunners can do what they need to do. Unfortunately, it would seem that “American Gods” Season 2 was beset with exactly the kind of backstage issues that led to its changes. While it’s still too early to say that the production drama ruined the show, fans are worried.

When it was reported that the show’s original showrunners, Michael Green and Bryan Fuller had left the series, it left the fate “American Gods” Season 2 hanging in the air. Worried fans were given temporary reprieve when Jesse Alexander was tasked to be the new showrunner. However, it would seem that even he has also left the picture. Rumblings of betrayals during production swirled because of this.

As a result of all of this trouble, the premiere date of “American Gods” Season 2 has a cloud of doubt hanging over it. It could just as easily be that the eight episodes of the second season would be as good as the first. Due to all the departures, however, it can be difficult to believe that this would be the case.
