Ryan Murphy hasn’t always been generous with his spoilers when it comes to his upcoming projects. And for his upcoming seventh season of “American Horror Story,” Murphy shared a new teaser featuring new cast member Billie Lourd, Deadline said.
Murphy, who shared the image via his official Instagram account, posted a photo of Lourd with a new hair color. Sporting a breezy floral dress and a cute pair of summer sunglasses, Lourd debuted wispy, silvery locks. The photo came in with a caption that read, “Winter is coming. Can't wait for everybody to see what the incredible Billie Lourd does this season on AHS.”
The photo, People.com said, signals Lourd’s return to television since the death of her mother, the late “Star Wars” actress Carrie Fisher, and her grandmother Debbie Reynolds. Lourd graced a Star Wars Celebration in April wearing a white dress inspired from the robe her mother’s character famously worn in the sci-fi series.
She paid homage to her mother at the event and said, “My mom used to say she never knew where Princess Leia ended and Carrie Fisher began. She was imperfect in many ways but her imperfections and willingness to speak about them are what made her more than perfect. My mom, like Leia, wasn’t ever afraid to speak her mind and say things that might have made most people uncomfortable.”
The photo is also Murphy’s third tease for the upcoming anthology series, which has an election theme. We Got This Covered said the first one was a scary drawing of an elephant/clown/zombie mix, while the second one was someone’s back of the head with blue hair.
