Given the latest revelations prior to “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 7, it is completely understandable if Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) wants to become immortal. Meanwhile, Michael Langdon (Cody Fern) might already have planted some traitors to attack the witches.
“American Horror Story” season 8 episode 7 preview shows Cordelia approaching Dinah (Adina Porter) for help. While Dinah makes it clear that she does not practice voodoo merely for favors, she performs a ritual with Cordelia and then comes another surprise — Papa Legba (Lance Reddick) returns.
All these connections only lead to the conclusion that Cordelia might be seeking to achieve immortal status in “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 7. It can be recalled that the witches have finally figured out that Michael is the actual Anti-Christ. Unfortunately, the revelation only comes after he passed the Seven Wonders test and is now on his way to becoming the next Supreme.
As satan’s offspring, Michael is out to destroy the world and it is going to be the witches’ task to stop him. But, as the Antichrist, Michael cannot only kill whomever he fancies, he can also obliterate their soul. So it only makes sense that Cordelia goes to Papa Legba in “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 7 to evade death forever.
Papa Legba has several other powers that Cordelia might be after. But given the dilemma that awaits in “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 7, seeking immortality is the agendum that makes the most sense for Cordelia.
Meanwhile, “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 7 is titled “Traitor” and it appears that at least a couple of warlocks would fulfill the profile. Ariel Augustus (Jon Jon Briones) and Baldwin Pennypacker (BD Wong) are seen walking around with a white powder in a canister that the latter describes as his “deadliest” creation.
Ariel walks down the corridor while holding the said canister and everyone around him seems to be dying in an instant. In another instance “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 7, Baldwin blows the white powder toward the witches gathered at a dining table.
Are Ariel and Baldwin doing favors for Michael and are they aware that he’s not only the next Supreme but also the Antichrist? Fans will find out in “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 7 on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
