It seems that the threat that Michael Langdon (Cody Fern) poses in bringing about the titular apocalypse is still well and alive in “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 9. With the last episode showing Jeff (Evan Peters) and Mutt (Billy Eichner) promising to stand by the antichrist, whatever his plans are, fans may be wondering if the duo is competent enough to be of any help to Michael Langdon's plans.
The “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 9 preview trailer puts the cooperative front and center for the upcoming episode. Fans will notice that Jeff – the 16th character portrayed by Evan Peters in the series – seems to know a lot about what exactly the cooperative does. The next scenes show Michael Langdon in all his antichrist glory as well as Cordelia Goode (Sarah Paulson) writhing in pain in what appears to be a losing attempt at staving off a possession.
Fans may remember that Jeff and Mutt are two technically inclined individuals working on creating sex robots who eventually sold their souls to the devil for Silicon Valley fame despite the impending end of the world. While Jeff and Mutt may seem like two dolts simply honoring their deal with the devil, fans may note that with Cordelia having killed most of Michael's allies earlier in the season, the antichrist might need an army to help him execute the cooperative's will to bring about his destiny in “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 9.
Fans looking forward to seeing what may be the final showdown between Michael Langdon and those who oppose his purpose on Earth can catch “American Horror Story” season 8 episode 9 when it airs during its usual Wednesday broadcast schedule on Nov. 7. Hopefully, the show has not lost its steam despite Halloween having recently wrapped up when the previous episode aired.
