Over the past months, a slew of pregnancy and breakup rumors have been hounding the relationship of actor Ben Affleck and “Saturday Night Live” producer Lindsay Shookus. But a couple of reports recently debunked these speculations.
It is becoming the norm for certain publications and media outlets to report that a female personality is pregnant shortly after her new relationship with another celebrity is confirmed. Most of the time, however, these reports are found untrue. Such is the case since Affleck and Shookus have been seen going out in public as a couple.
The two were seen together more often since the summer of 2017. While they did not directly confirm their relationship, the couple has since been spotted together on numerous dates. As expected, pregnancy rumors proliferated by tabloids started flying in the following months. However, Gossip Cop — a website “created to fact-check the gossip industry” — recently said in a report that one of Affleck’s representatives called these pregnancy gossips “crazy” and “amusing almost.”
Aside from baseless pregnancy rumors, tabloids also won’t stop putting out claims that Lindsay Shookus and Ben Affleck’s relationship is in jeopardy. Shookus is reportedly getting impatient about the fact that Affleck’s divorce with Jennifer Garner is taking too long. Garner is also accused of delaying the proceedings because she is purportedly not ready to move on from Affleck. These kinds of reports go as far as interpreting Shookus and Affleck’s summer vacation as an attempt to save their relationship.
On the other hand, Garner and Affleck are apparently dealing with their divorce amicably. They have also shown several times that they are doing well in co-parenting their three children. So the rumors that Shookus is finding issues with the divorce proceedings and putting the blame on Garner is most likely untrue as well.
Despite these unpleasant rumors about their relationship, Lindsay Shookus and Ben Affleck are visibly enjoying the time of their lives as a couple. Just a few weeks ago, Shookus joined Affleck in Puerto Rico, where the actor is filming for his upcoming movie “The Last Thing He Wanted.” They were spotted going out to do some shopping during the weekend in a mall in San Juan.
