“Blue Bloods” season 9 episode 4 is titled “Blackout” and it will show Frank Reagan’s family's members doing their jobs in their respective offices. Expect lots of conflicts as the episode will also be filled with big reveals, and even Frank himself will be very surprised.
Rotten Tomatoes shared “Blue Bloods” season 9 episode 4's synopsis and it reads: “When New York City experiences a major blackout, cops scramble to contain the resulting chaos, and Frank uncovers some unpleasant truths about his department in the aftermath. Jamie and Eddie question the line between work and their relationship, and Danny and Baez race to question the subject of a murder investigation before she gets tipped off by her ex-boyfriend.”
The description says there will be a blackout in New York and it seems that everyone’s work will be hampered by the power outage. Aside from that, the blackout will pave the way for Frank to discover something unexpected and ugly in his own division. But what it is has yet to be revealed in “Blue Bloods” season 9 episode 4.
Moreover, as per Cartermatt, “Blue Bloods” season 9 episode 4 will also show Eddie and Jamie’s first conflict as an engaged couple working as law enforcers. It appears that Eddie does not want his fiancee to take on an assignment that will be risky for her.
There is a creep lurking around town and victimizing women. The description of the victims fits Eddie’s profile perfectly, and when she tells Jamie she is the best one for the job, he tells her not do it. With that, the conflict between the engaged couple starts.
Apparently, this situation is what Frank Reagan was talking about. It can be recalled that he opposed the idea of Jamie and Eddie working as partners in the police force, so now that they are in a conflict due to an assignment, the two will certainly understand Frank’s point.
“Blue Bloods” season 9 episode 4 will air on Oct. 19 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
