‘Boruto’ Episode 76: Air Date, Spoilers: Boruto to Collect Garaga's Reverse Scales

The wait for “Boruto” Episode 76 is almost over and viewers may see some interesting developments once it returns on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 5:30 p.m. JST.

However, fans who can’t wait to know what happens may like to check out a post made by Reddit user OrganicDinosaur because it contains some spoilers regarding the episode.

As noted by OrganicDinosaur, the title of “Boruto” Episode 76, "Gekirin ni furero," is actually an idiom. When translated into English, it means “To incur the wrath of one’s superior/the Emperor.” That doesn’t reveal much about the episode, but OrganicDinosaur explained further.

“Taken more in context (or literally) you would read the title as ‘To touch the Reversed-Scale’. The kind that points backwards on the neck/chin of a serpent. Chinese folklore mentions that this particularly enrages a certain legendary dragon if the scale is touched.”

Based on that explanation, Boruto and Sarada will have to get the scale that is on the underside of Garaga’s chin and the giant snake isn’t going to be happy about it. As seen in the “Boruto” Episode 76 preview trailer, they are going to have their hands full as they look to complete their quest and bring the reverse scale back to the White Snake Sage.

Interestingly, the summary OrganicDinosaur posted also revealed that someone is responsible for Mitsuki leaving the village.

“Naruto hears the investigative report from Moegi, which is regarding the incident of Mitsuki’s disappearance. Afterwards, someone surfaces who knows of important, and highly classified information about Konoha: Are they potentially involved in this incident!?”

Who is this unnamed person who has been lurking in the shadows all this time? Is it someone from Mitsuki’s past?

“Boruto” Episode 76 will be out on all Anime Streaming sites after its debut release in Japan, so don’t forget to check it out.
