When “Boruto” Episode 92 airs, fans can finally say goodbye to the Mitsuki arc and a lot of them could not say “good riddance” enough. On the other hand, many are also saying that the arc had its good sides, which is an opinion that is often met with vitriol. In the grand scheme of things, however, all this fighting is completely pointless.
As OtakuKart reports, consistency was a huge issue with the Mitsuki arc, especially with regards to pacing and even the animation. This is to be expected, though, since it was not based on material that already existed. The manga has yet to hit chapter 32, so it only makes sense that the animators had to create new contents for the anime. This goes for “Boruto” Episode 92, as well.
The problem here is that, although the arc is technically considered canon, it deviated a lot from what the manga had set out to accomplish. There were too many occasions when drama was injected into scenes when it was not necessary. None of the new characters introduced in the arc were also memorable and the same goes for the events. As such, the punishments doled out in “Boruto” Episode 92 will likely be the most interesting things to happen for a lot of fans.
This isn’t to say that the arc was entirely bad, with some aspects actually attracting the interest of the viewers. The meeting with and subsequent fight involving Garaga, for example, had a lot of fans feeling satisfied. It’s just unfortunate that the arc dragged on for too long following the initial burst of excitement. As a result, many fans are no longer that invested coming to “Boruto” Episode 92.
In any case, “Boruto” Episode 92 will be airing on Feb. 3. For those who want to just get this over with, they can watch the episode then.
