Fans almost lost their chance of viewing “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” season 6 episode 2 since FOX Network canceled the show in 2017. Luckily, NBC picked up the series and saved it from being off-air for good. The save paved the way for the sixth installment to successfully premiere on Jan. 10 and now, it is on its way to the second episode already.
Although “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” season 6 moved to a new home, nothing has really changed in the comedy series. The goofiness that is the show is known for is still intact and everything else is the same including the cast members.
Moreover, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” season 6 continues to follow the adventures of Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and the rest of the team stationed at New York PD’s 99th Precinct. The show debuted on NBC with the “Honeymoon” episode that showed Jake and Amy (Melissa Fumero) on their first few days together as a newly married couple. It can be recalled that the two got married in season 5’s finale.
Now, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” season 6 episode 2 titled “Hitchcock & Scully” is next and as per IMDb, its plot summary reads: “Jake and Charles take a trip back to the '80s to investigate one of Hitchcock and Scully's old cases; Terry, Rosa and Amy fight over whose squad is causing more problems in their shared space.”
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” season 6 episode 2 will provide the backstory of Detective Norm Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) and his partner Michael Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker) who is equally lazy. Their colleagues always regard them as a total burden in the 99th Precinct and Jake and Charles’ investigation of the duo’s past cases will shed light on how the partners really worked in solving crimes in their locality.
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” season 6 episode 2 is set to air on Jan. 17 at 9 p.m. on NBC. Don’t miss another hilarious story next week!
