Who would have thought that “Outlander’s” Caitriona Balfe who plays the show’s leading lady, Claire, would be as fierce as the character she regularly embodies? On a recent rant on Twitter, the actress expressed her outrage over the fact that some awards during the Oscars would not be getting the same treatment as others. She did not hold back, either.
As Business Times reports, Caitriona Balfe did not pull her punches while expressing her disappointment on social media. The actress’ words were practically smoking with rage as she unleashed a tirade over the fact that awards that included cinematography and editing were not even aired. Looking at the responses her post got, a lot of people took issue with the decision, as well.
“What the F@*k ?? Cinematography, editing, hair and make up and live action shorts Oscars aren’t going to be aired. Who on Earth is making these f**ed up decisions. Movie making is a collaborative experience with each and every cog in the wheel playing an essential role in the making of whatever project. No one part of the endeavour is more important or more valuable than the rest,” the Tweet reads.

In response to her post, some users pointed out that unlike the categories that were left out, nominated songs were allowed to be featured for up to five minutes each. This then led to there being quite a huge chunk of time used up that could have then been given to the awards that were cut. No doubt Caitriona Balfe agreed with the notion.
Unfortunately, with time constraints being a huge part of the whole arrangement, there was bound to have been some contents cut during the airing of the event. It was simply decided that the awards that Caitriona Balfe brought up were not as important as everything else.
