Fans of “Chicago Fire” may enjoy Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella Kidd's (Miranda Rae Mayo) complicated relationship. But it seems that even if the couple is bound to get closer in “Chicago Fire” season 7 episode 7, it will be at a great cost to one of them.
According to the “Chicago Fire” season 7 episode 7 synopsis, the upcoming episode will deal primarily with a problem that Kelly Severide has to deal with personally. Thankfully, Stella Kidd will be there to support him through the unmentioned issue. Fans can also expect Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) to take on this week's case – a car accident which may involve some foul play.
The “Chicago Fire” season 7 episode 7 promo trailer gives more information about what Kelly Severide is going through. It looks like most of the upcoming episode's airtime will be dedicated to Benny Severide's (Treat Williams) funeral. Fans may remember that Kelly's father suffered a stroke in the previous episode which left Kelly without any emotional closure as he was unable to say goodbye before Benny's death.
While Stella Kidd is mentioned to be instrumental to Kelly Severide's grief in “Chicago Fire” season 7 episode 7, the promo trailer also shows the rest of Firehouse 51 having Severide's back during the funeral. Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) and Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) are also present at the funeral, with Boden even being one of Benny Severide's pallbearers.
Fans looking forward to seeing how Kelly Severide deals with the significant loss of his father – as well as how this will affect his relationship with Stella Kidd – can catch “Chicago Fire” season 7 episode 7 when it airs during its weekly Wednesday broadcast schedule on Nov. 7. Hopefully, Benny's death will help start a positive change within Kelly Severide that can allow him – as well as his relationship with Kidd – to grow.
